The Spain princess Christina has been removed of her title “Duchess of Palma” by her brother King Felipe VI of Spain due to charges with tax evasion. She is being charged on account of tax evasion along with her husband and former Olympic handball player Inaki Urdangarin. The princess lawyer has reported that she itself had asked the King to remove her title, but according to the reports from the royal palace it is found out that the king had decided it before the princess’s request. However, the princess has denied the case being charged against her. Inaki Urdangarin is being charged along with 15 others on accounts of cheating 5.6m euros which is public money from the Noos Institute which is a charitable sports foundation. The princess is being charged due to her involvement in the scam. This is considered to be the first time in Spain’s history that a member from the royal palace is being charged.
