SC rules Lt. Governor bound by aid and advice of elected government

Putting a end to the power struggle between the Delhi state government and its Lieutenant Governor, the Supreme Court has ruled that the Lt. Governor is bound by the aid and advice of the democratically elected government of the state.

Since the induction of the AAP government at the national capital, the young party has been continuously complaining about the difficulties it faces due to the lack of autonomy. Since the national capital is a special zone and is a union territory, there are several limitations for the democratically elected system in the state.

Anyway, the new verdict has assured the prominence of the democratically elected system, there are some implications in the verdict that the verdict does not mean the AAP government has complete autonomy in the state. The SC has asserted that the AAP government is free to take decisions on any subject, except land, police and public order. That statement indirectly means that the state government should accept the right of the central government to take decision in the state over the subjects of land, police and public order.

Has the AAP leader, Arvind Kejriwal, who appealed against the HC verdict that held the Lt, Governor as the administrative head of the state, achieved what he has expected from such an appeal?
