Prestigious brand Miss South India being misused for personal gain

Miss South India is a trademarked (Application No. 1644058) beauty pageant organised by Pegasus, an event production company based in Kerala. It has been established for over 16 years, focusing on the Indian tradition and culture.

Unfortunately, we have identified that some people have been misusing this prestigious brand name. Ms Iti Acharya claims to be the winner of beauty contest ‘Miss South India 2016’. Moreover the fact is, she was not even a contestant in the event. She recently uploaded her pictures and videos in social media platforms claiming she was the winner of ‘Miss South India 2016’. This is not the first time it’s happening. Even earlier she had claimed to be the winner by uploading the pictures and videos in social media platform and was warned. These kinds of anti-social activities and negligence, aimed at spoiling the hard earned reputation is not tolerable. The brand name has a concrete reputation in the industry and will let anyone spoil it.

For the record, MeeraMitun (Model and film actress) was the winner of Miss South India 2016. Sanam Prasad was the first runner up, followed by Archana Ravi as second runner up. These three contestants are well known personalities in movies and modelling industry. The event was held on 9th January at Confident Amoon Resort.
