PM Modi visits Sweden

In a bid to deepen the bilateral engagements with the Nordic countries, the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has reached Sweden today.

The Indian PM’s visit to Sweden is a part of his five day foreign visit trip. Sweden is the first place the PM has visited in his trip.

Ensuring that the Indian PM gets to feel the importance the Swedish government give to the visit, the Swedish Prime Minister, Stefan Lofven, has welcomed PM Modi at the airport and accompanied the guest to the arranged hotel in the same car.

In the meeting between Indian PM and Swedish PM, the leaders likely to discuss the crucial subjects like trade, business, investment and clean energy. The leaders of Sweden and India will also visit the business leaders of both countries.

As per a latest update, New Delhi and Stockholm will jointly organise the India-Nordic Summit in the Swedish capital. The report has asserted that the leaders of other prime Nordic countries such as Finland, Demark, Norway and Iceland will also participate in the summit.

Anyway, later tomorrow, the Indian PM will proceed towards the second part of his five day foreign visit.

In the second part, the PM will visit the United Kingdom to take part in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting and to meet the British PM, Theresa May.
