Pathankot attacks: 4 terrorists and 2 IAF officials killed


Terrorists infiltrated the Air Force base in Pathankot Punjab and it resulted in a fierce gunfight which began at around 3:30am today morning. Terrorist entered the base in an official vehicle, wearing military uniform. 4 Terrorists and two IAF soldiers were killed during the shootout and the officials cordoned off the area.

Reports say that, the militants belong to Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group from Pakistan and they were ordered to take down the base assets. The official vehicle, they used to enter the base, was Hijacked in Gurdaspur and it belonged to the Superintendent of Police. The group assaulted him, took his car and phone. Gun fight ensued with air force personnel springing into action, containing the militants. It is a reminiscent of the Gurdaspur terror attack that took place 6 months ago.
