Bihar CM, RJD supremo strongly back JNU student’s Union leader

The Grand alliance heroes, Lalu and Nitish, on last day strongly criticised ruling BJP-led government, saying the centre is trying to promote cast politics in the country for distorting the beauty of diversity. The duos were speaking at a public gathering which was organised to celebrate 639th birthday of Ravidas on last day. While speaking at the function, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar raised strong allegations against the country’s cast polarisation and intolerance. He criticized centre for not properly celebrating the birth anniversaries of prominent personalities like Dr. B R Ambedkar and Ravidas who had lived their lives for the ailing lower class people. Exposing the dirty vote tactics, he claims that the BJP leaders are trying to hijack the lower cast leaders of Indian politics only to attract votes. He used the opportunity to back Kanhaiya Kumar, who was arrested and allegedly attacked by the pro-rightist government, and demanded that the authorities should drop sedition charges against the JNU students. Meanwhile, he added that the Union HRD minister had given wrong details about the Hyderabad Dalit student’s suicide. Reciting similar points, RJD supremo and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav who is a well-known anti-BJP campaigner claims that the JNU leader was intentionally targeted because he had worked form the marginalised people in the society. He denounced the rumours regarding the instability in the Grand alliance. In addition, He asserts that he is extremely committed to the ruling Nitish-government. However, the Bihar CM had announced on last day that the Bihar would celebrate a holiday on Ravidas’s birth anniversary from next year onwards.
