Nehru Trophy boat race on Nov 10

The Nehru Trophy boat race to be scheduled for November 10th. All preparations have reached the final stages. Only a few repair work is left work to complete, include the pavilion, starting point and track are left.

The gallery platforms are fully furnished. Around 40.000 plus tickets were booked for the boat race which is programmed for Saturday. The unexpected floods and the fall in tourism have swayed the number of onlookers.

The rebooking of the cancelled tickets in August has also begun. The practice sessions of the snake boats (Chundan vallam) is also happening.

Special facility and safety are confirmed for senior citizens, differently abled. The irrigation department has organised special facilities for both, citizens and for divyang. This would facilitate them to watch the event peacefully with full security.
