Natural ways to fight oily skin

Oily skin is a matter of worry for many. It is a common skin condition. It is the outcome of the excess production of sebum from sebaceous glands.

Actually, the overproduction of this element is not a bad thing. It is good for the health of skin and hair.
Nevertheless, many are scared of oily skin. It is because this type of skin is vulnerable to certain skin conditions such as acne and pimple.

Certain natural methods are available to contain this skin condition. If used properly, these methods can be an effective substitute to a chemical solution.

Honey

It is a well-known fact that honey is a gifted substance. This substance is known for its anti-bacterial and anti-septic properties. What is discussed less is its humectant property – which enables the substance to keep the skin moist but not oily.

Take a spoon of fresh honey. Apply it gently on your skin. Let it rest there for at least ten minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water. Repeat the procedure at least twice or thrice a week for better result.

Cosmetic clay

This clay serves our purpose for its exceptional absorbing capability. French green clay is the best cosmetic clay available in the market. It is sold in a powdered form.
Take a spoon of French green clay. Mix it with a few drops of rose water or water. Apply the mixture on your face. Let the mixture sit there until it is perfectly dried. Remove it gently with water. Repeat the procedure at least once in a week.

Oats

This product is very popular nowadays. Oats porridge is an ‘easy to cook’ breakfast. It is really a boon to the working population. It is not only an ‘easy to cook’ item, but also a storehouse of numerous nutrients, minerals and dietary fibre. What makes it suitable for our purpose is its anti-inflammation and absorption properties.

Take around two or three spoon oats. Pour a few drops of warm water into the oats. Transform the mixture into a fine paste. Add a drop of honey into the paste. Apply the paste on your face gently. Let it rest there for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Remove the mixture with slightly warm water. Repeat the procedure at least once a week for better result.

Almonds

This method is a bid more expensive than the others, as almond is a very expensive item, tough nowadays it is not difficult to purchase compared to the past. It acts as a perfect face scrub. It not only exfoliates your skin, but also removes its impurities and oil.

Take around two or three spoons of grinded almonds. Pour few drops of fresh honey into the almond powder. Transform the mixture into a perfect paste. Gently scrub your face with the paste in a circular motion. Remove the paste with lukewarm water. Repeat the procedure at least once a week for better result.

These natural remedies are just a suggestion. There are certain skin conditions which are not possible to be treated with the aforesaid methods. It is always good to consult a skin specialist before the commencement of any treatment plan. These methods cannot be an alternative to a skin condition which requires an urgent medical intervention.

Anyway, oily skin is far more better than dry skin. Though both have its own positives and negatives, oily skin is generally seen as a healthy skin type. Those with oily skin should give immense attention to their skin. They should wash their skin at least twice a day – but, at the same time should not overdo the
cleaning.
