While speaking at the function organised to celebrate the centenary of the Patna University, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s commitment to the development of the state.

The Bihar chief, who formally re-joined the NDA, has, in return, called that the day in which the PM has attended the university’s centenary function as the day of great honour.

Both leaders have shared the same stage when they have come to attend the prestigious function.

It is the first time that both leaders have shared a single stage in the state since the formal reconciliation of the BJP and the JD (U).

Moreover, it is also the first time that the PM has officially landed in one of the most powerful North-East states since the reunion of the lotus and the arrow.

While speaking at the function, PM Modi has asserted that his government’s prime focus is the development of the North Eastern states.

It is learned that the central government has earmarked huge funds for the development of the states situated in the North Eastern region.

In this visit, the PM is expected to lay the foundation stone for four national highway projects worth nearly three thousand crore rupees in the state.
