Miss. & Mr. Mangalore 2014
As the 3rd edition of Miss. & Mr. Mangalore 2014 beauty pageant organized by Fashion ABCD, Mangalore’s 1st model training studio held at Pandit Resort, in Moodbidri wraped up glamorously on Sunday, March 2, Mr. Puneet Jayadev was titled Mr. Mangalore 2014, and Miss. Faheema Fathima was crowned as Miss. Mangalore 2014. The event which was hosted by Champaka Ananth and Anurag Bangera RJ announced the first runner’s up to be Vikas Puthran for Mr. Mangalore and Avin Divya Vaz for Miss. Mangalore, and the second runner’s up to be Sanam Amin and Varna Sampath. The winner of Miss. Mangalore event will be able to directly entry into Miss. South India 2015 as the winner and the 1st runner up of Mr. Mangalore event will receive the same privilege of direct entry into Mr. India Global 2014 that is to be held in New Delhi.
The event was judged by many such as Mr. Harindra Singh, MD, Percept Group , Nikhita Punja, fashion consultant, IMG Reliance, Lakme Fashion Week, Sri Devi Goel, former Director General of Police, Maharashtra, Miss Prithvi Rao, Miss India finalist, Dr Shilpa Shetty Naik, dental aesthetic specialist, Sandeep Malani, Bollywood director, Rajesh Bhat, Bollywood producer, , SapnaSashidharan, consultant, VLCC and Freya Aesthetic Clinic,, owner of Miss South India & Pegasus Events Ajit Ravi Pegasus, and Miss South India 2014 Abhishiktha Shetty.
An event which brought together the youth of Mangalore to bring Mangalore’s culture and tradition into the lime light presented an exciting blend of culture, tourist destinations and natural beauty to the world. The minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Abhayachandra Jain, former minister Amarnath Shetty, BJP leader Jagdish Adhikari, general manager, Pannith Kumar, The Saffron Boutique hotel, the Promoter of Pandits Health Resort & Spa, Mr. Lal Goel were the guests who graced the event with their presence. The Miss. Mangalore event was choreographed by Suhail and Aditi Shetty from Mumbai and the Mr. Mangalore event was choreographed by Miss. Deeth Sethi from Pune. The grooming of the contestants were taken care of by Dr. Nithin Sashidhar, Mr. Nishan Sashidhar, Dr. Sishir Shetty, and Chetana of Chetana’s Beauty Studio.
During the event of Miss. & Mr. Mangalore 2014, there was also the promotion for the first international Tulu film “Nirel” produced by Shodhan Prasad and San Poojary under Sandhya Productions. The movie which is directed by Ranjith Bajpe premiered in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in February and is going to be released in Mangalore on March 7.
