Manappuram Miss South India 2018
The sixteenth edition of the Miss South India beauty contest, organised by Dr. Ajit Ravi to felicitate the beauty queen of this part of the country, is scheduled to take place on January 27, 2018, at Gokulam Convention Centre, Kochi.
The event production conglomerate which is run by Dr. Ajit, Pegasus, will be the organiser of the beauty event, which is going to mark its beginning on January 27 at 6 30 PM.
Manappuram Finance Limited and DQ watches are the prime partners of the event in which twenty-two beautiful ladies from five different South Indian states are expected to contest for the title. In addition, VALA’s Clothing, T-Shine, Medimix, CERA are the prime powered-by-partners of the event.
Navya Ann Abraham (Kochi), Lakshmi Menon (Thrissur), Samrudha Sunilkumar(Kochi) and Sreya Pramod (Trivandrum) will represent Kerala in the beauty contest, which aims to highlight the cultural and traditional values of the country.
The grooming session of the beauty contest, in which there will be three prime rounds such as designer saree, red cocktail and black gown rounds, has begun January 22nd at Gokulam Convention Centre. The session, which is handled by prominent personalities in the modelling sector, and which aims to impart knowledge in yoga, meditation, personality development, beauty care, catwalk, photo shoot and talent search to the contestants, would help the ladies to gain more confidence.
Eminent personalities from the film and fashion sectors will be there in the judging panel of the event for judging and guiding the contestants.
The cash prize for the winner (one lakh Indian rupees) and for the second runner-up (forty thousand Indian rupees) will be contributed by the Manappuram Finance Limited, and the cash prize for the first runner up (sixty thousand Indian rupees) will be sponsored by Saara media. The winners will be crowned with the gold plated crown designed by Parakkat Jewellers.
Apart from the winners, the judging panel will select regional title winners: Miss Tamil Nadu, Miss Queen Andhra, Miss Queen Karnataka and Miss Queen Kerala.In addition, the judges will also select sub-title winners: Miss Beautiful Hair, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Beautiful Skin, Miss Beautiful Face, Miss Beautiful Eyes, Miss Congeniality, Miss Personality, Miss Catwalk, Miss Perfect Ten, Miss Talent, Miss Photogenic, Miss Viewers’ Choice, Miss Social Media, Miss Fitness, and Miss Humaneness.
Miss Humanenesstitle will be given to that lady who amasses maximum fund from the public using the crowd funding program launched in association with Ketto Online Ventures to fund the social activities. Each and every penny gathered through this program will be used in the 100 life challenge program conceptualised by Dr .Ajit Ravi to help the financially week heart patients.
This beauty contest is the first step towards International beauty contest Miss Asia, says Pegasus Founder and Chairman Dr. Ajit Ravi.
The contestants have been selected through audition sessions organised in Kochi, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. Only invited guests will be permitted access to the venue where the program will take place. Those received the invitation have been advised to wear black, white and red coloured dress.
