Lemon flavoured cake

 

INGREDIENTS:

Flour – 1 ½ cup

Salt – 1/4 teaspoon

Butter – 1/2 cup

Sugar – 3/4 cup

Lemon zest – 2 teaspoons

Eggs – 2

Milk – 2 tablespoons

Lemon juice – 2 tablespoons

METHOD:

Heat the oven to 180 degrees. Combine the dry powders together and set aside. In another bowl beat all the other items together except the eggs.Then add the eggs one at a time beating after adding each egg.Then gradually add the dry powder mix to this and beat till they are well incorporated.Pour this batter into the buttered baking pan and bake till done.This would be about 20 to 25 minutes.When done remove from oven and leave it cool.Transfer to a cake stand and decorate with sugar icing according to your taste.
