Kerala government announced to set a Joint venture Company
Kerala government on Wednesday announced to set a Joint venture Company to launch new optic fiber pathway to the state. According to the sanction, the Kerala Fiber Optic Network Limited and the new Joint venture soon will implement the K-FON (Kerala Fiber Optic Network) project.
The cabinet has endorsed the Memorandum of the Associated firm to be created by the Kerala State Electricity Board, Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited and the state government.
The K-FON initiative will provide speedy and quality internet service to all government offices, educational institutions, public sector and residential houses.
The official statement also encounters that the project reality would benefit over 20 lakh underprivileged families in grasping free Internet service, while others will get it at an affordable rate.
