Kashmiri Pandits rejects PM’s rehabilitation packages

Ceasing a long uncertainty over the Kashmiri Pandits rehabilitation process, last day they rejected the attractive rehabilitation packages offered by the Prime Minster. Accepting the invitation from the government, different Pandits group had participated in a meeting with officials of Ministry of Home Affairs. There were rumors that some officials from PMO office was also attended the discussion.
It was the first such kind of talks with the Pandits by the government authorities. During the meeting, the Pandits groups expressed that they are not willing to throw their life for a test, and they further claim those people who accepted the packages are living in a miserable life. More than thousand people have recently accepted the Prime Minster relief package; and they joined the job, which was provided along with the package.
Quoting the difficulties faced by the Pandits, the accommodation and the job packages in the Kashmir region is unacceptable to the groups.The Pandits, who had faced a forced exodus, demands a respectable compensation from the ruling government. Currently, the youth are getting a small some of around two thousand rupees; pointing the inadequacy, the groups demand that the country should provide loan assistance to the Pandits to secure a self-employment.
Earlier this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Pandits is in the priority list of the government agenda.The new development is delivering high hopes for the shattered group, who is currently living in different parts of India.
Meanwhile, the Pandits groups are strongly demanding a probe on the past wrongdoings of the government over the community.
