Kashmir deserves freedom from ‘pellet threat’

ljrhf

A latest development clearly shows that even a kid as little as nineteen-month-old is vulnerable to the threat posed by the pellet attacks in the India’s highly disturbed territory of Kashmir.

Recently, a nineteen-month-old girl Hibba was injured by the pellet attack in the region. She was admitted in Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital located in Srinagar.

The kid was from the Shopian region of Kashmir. She was in her home when the attack happened. Her mother also suffered some minor injuries in the attack.

It was the killing of some militants by the security forces in the region that put the region into the state of turbulence.

At this moment, it remains unclear who fired the pellet that injured the kid. Even the mother of the kid who was with her at the time is also unaware about that.

Anyway, the pellet culture should be stopped. It is a huge shame to our nation that a kid as young as nineteen-month-old is the youngest pellet victim of the country.

The doctors treating the kid have opined that she might need a surgery. As per a report, the attack has affected one of her eyes badly.

Most social media platforms are flooded with the picture of the kid who carries the scar of the failure of the concept of peaceful society for which most stand.

Only we, the, so called, civilised world is responsible for the suffering the kid now faces.

Meanwhile, it is important to identify those who encourage taking up arms in the name of this kid. They are not saviours, but scavengers.
