While speaking at the inaugural session of the World Sustainable Development Summit, the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, said that the International Solar Alliance, the International alliance formed with the effort of our country, is one of the biggest achievements.

Several global leaders, students and delegates from nearly forty different countries were at the venue in which the prestigious event took place.

The ISA, which at present has nearly one hundred and twenty one member countries, aims at increasing solar energy deployment in the member countries.

By the year 2030, the International organisation is expected to amass a huge corpus of over one thousand billion US dollars for the implementation of its plan.

Towards the corpus, India may contribute a huge sum of twenty seven million US dollars (approximately one hundred and seventy five Indian rupees).

The ISA, which is the first treaty-based International Inter-Governmental organisation to be based out of India, may help the world to keep global temperature from rising above the normal limit of two per cent by the end of century.

Can the ISA achieve their target? What will be the role of India in this International organisation? These questions can only be answered in future.
