India to develop its own space station
India is likely to develop its own space station in few years. The information has been publicised by a senior official in the Indian Space Research Organisation.
The work towards that extent is expected to be commenced soon after the successful completion of the organisation’s first manned mission, Gaganyaan.
The organisation, as per a media report, will first launch a small model for microgravity experiments.
The proposed space station, according to the report, will weigh not less than 20 tonnes. Interestingly, in the proposed station, there will be facility for astronauts to stay there for as many as 15 to 20 days.
India is a very advanced country in terms of its special capabilities. It is the member of several prestigious International clubs in connection with the space capabilities.
The proposed space station will boost the image of the Indian space research sector.
India, at present, is in the final stage of its most-awaited manned mission. It is next big thing before the country now.
Once the space station mission is successfully finished, India will become one of the very few countries which have a personal space station. It is not a small achievement.
