Imran Khan likely to become Pak Supremo

From what is heard from the world’s largest Muslim dominated nation, it is clear that Pakistan will witness a surprising political development within few hours.

When the preliminary election trend has been publicised, the much needed clarity has been given to the much circulated speculation whether the cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan’s PTI Party will create a new history in the nation.

As nearly forty per cent of the total votes casted during the general election have been counted, the former cricketer’s party has marked its undeniable presence in nearly half of the total constituencies.

A distant second, the party of the last Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, who has been languishing in the Pakistan prison for last few months in connection with a corruption scandal emerged after the infamous Panama Paper leak, has alleged that the election was marred by the wicked interference of military forces aimed at helping the PTI Party to win the nation.

Not only the PML-N, but also several small parties have expressed similar doubts after it has been noticed the unusual means the authorities have been using for last few hours to delay the election result.

Though the Election Commission of Pakistan has asserted that the delay happened in declaring the election result has been caused by the technical issues, several trustworthy Human Rights and Election Watch organisations have doubtlessly declared that some kinds of interferences have occurred to turn the election result in favour of the former cricketer.

Has the military assassinated Pakistan’s democratic values?
