HU row: Virtual emergency, alleges students; NHRC seeks clarification

Considering reports that claims that the Hyderabad university authorities along with the central government intentionally imposed emergency situation in the campus by denying food, water and telecom connectivity, National Human Rights Commission on last day demanded clarification from Union HRD ministry and Telangana authorities. As per reports, the National Human Rights Commission already issued notice to respective authorities regarding the issue. Earlier, Medias reported that Hyderabad University authorities had rejected basic needs of students by denying food and water. They compared the situation with emergency era to elucidate the intensity of the injustice, which was being imposed upon the poor students by the varsity authorities. It is learned that the central government have deliberately introduced heavy security measures in the campus.

Still, the campus is being placed under strict security cover up by the central government. Media reported that the re-entry of Vice-Chancellor Appa Rao, who is one of the prime accused in Rohith Vemula suicide case, had dramatically fueled new crisis recently. However, cops recently detained nearly twenty seven persons from the campus, including twenty five students and two faculty members.Anyway, the National Human Rights Commission observed that the latest incidents in the varsity have put the students in extreme mental-trauma. The human rights watchdog had reportedly clarified that the central government or any other organisations must not intentionally deny basic rights of any citizen of our state.
