Former central minister P Chidambaram’s son arrested

Provoking the Congress party which is gearing up to demonstrate a powerful performance in the elections against its rivals, the Central Bureau of Investigation, which functions under the BJP (the prime rival of the parliament’ largest opposition party), has arrested Karti Chidambaram, the son of former central minister P Chidambaram who holds a powerful position in the grand old party.

As per the latest updates, the former minister’s son has been arrested by the Economic Offence Wing of the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the INX Media case.

The congress leaders have termed the CBI’s move as a politically motivated move intended to taint the image of the senior most leader of the party.

No BJP leader has yet come up with a powerful statement against the allegation put forth by the grand old party.

According to the report, Mr Karti has been taken to an undisclosed location by the CBI’s Economic Offence Wing officials after he was arrested from Chennai airport where he reached from London.

It is said that he will be taken to Delhi once the authorities receive the clearance of the local court functioning in Chennai.  

The CBI’s action is likely to trigger a serious political debate across the country in coming days.
