The President-Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari has said that education sector will play a major role in rebuilding Nigeria. The rebuilding process is not going to be easy and will require co-operation all citizen and agencies, he said. General Muhammadu Buhari has again won the presidency in Nigeria for the fourth time. He ruled Nigeria from January 1984 to August 1985 in which he was declared as the military leader. He has become the first opposition candidate to win a presidential election in Nigeria. Gen Buhari defeated the current president Goodluck Jonathan by more than 2.5 million votes. This was the time of celebration for Gen Buahri’s All Progressive Congress party. The APC won 15,424,921 votes and Mr. Jonathan’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP) got 12,853,162 votes. Gen Buhari’s victory is a wonderful moment for Nigeria, since never before has been a current president been defeated in an election. Nigeria has suffered much from the Islamist militant group Boko Haram which killed about a thousands of people to lead it as an Islamic state. And now many voters believe that Gen Buhari is the one who will defeat Boko Haram.
