Does cow really inhales and exhales oxygen
It is the big question of the day. It is an interesting remark made by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat that has brought this question to the limelight. Recently, the Uttarakhand CM said that cow is the only animal in the world that inhales and exhales oxygen. Interestingly, the CMO has defended the argument, saying that the CM just mentioned about a belief prevailing in the hills of Uttarakhand. He also said many things about the medicinal benefits of cow milk and urine. The CMO has also supported these statements too, saying that what he mentioned about cow milk and urine was a widely accepted truth.
It is true that there are medicinal benefits to cow milk and urine according to the ancient medical treasure of Ayurveda. But, there is no scientific base on the argument that cow inhales and exhales oxygen.
This is not the first time that BJP leaders have made irresponsible statements of this nature. Earlier, a senior BJP leader from the state said that pregnant women can avoid caesarean if they drink the water of Garud Ganga, the river in the Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand.
The political party itself should interfere to make sure that its members do not make irrational statements capable to paste bad image over the party.
Cow is a sacred animal. There is no dispute in that. There is no need to cook up fake stories about this holy animal to increase its holiness.
