Delhi police foils armed robbery plan
With the support of a tip-off, the Delhi police have booked a man who was planning to conduct armed robberies in the state.
The man has been neutralised following a dangerous gun fire exchange between the criminal and the police.
It was his associate, who was arrested at least fifteen days ago by the police, provided information about the plan of the man.
When the police have spotted the man, he has tried to resist the arrest. He has used gun against the police officers. The officers, to protect themselves from the criminal, has reacted in the same coin. The gun exchange has culminated when the criminal has been successfully shot at his leg by the officers.
The criminal has been treated in a hospital for his injuries. And, after the medical procedures, he has been discharged from the hospital.
The criminal is known to the Delhi police. He has a clear criminal history.
It is important to note here that it is the timely interference of the Delhi police that has prevented the possibility of the occurrence of a serious crime.
Like how the Delhi police have responded in this case, the police departments elsewhere should also give adequate importance to crime prevention. It is better to prevent a crime (if possible) than to respond to it after its occurrence.
