Delhi aims to launch ‘Happiness Curriculum’ in schools
Holistic education is one of the sectors of education which is slowly emerging as the most relevant sector of education. Meditation, mental exercises and moral studies are the three prime subjects generally taught through this kind of education. These elements are very important for the development of a human being. Those elements help the human being to develop all those qualities which the contemporary education fails to impart.
It seems that the Delhi government is well aware about the aforementioned realities. With a new policy, it aims to make sure that the students studying in the schools come under the Delhi government get the benefit of holistic education.
While speaking to the media personals about the new policy, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, who also holds the challenging portfolio of education minister, has said that his government would launch a ‘Happiness Curriculum’ for the Delhi students.
As per a latest update, the program will be officially launched by Dalai Lama, the renowned spiritual leader of Tibet who is presently living in India due to political conflicts happening on his name and his beliefs and ideologies in his birth country.
Can holistic education help the students to improve their skills and knowledge? How can this kind of education help them in the future?
