Congress scion in trouble

The top court of the country has issued a formal contempt notice against the Congress President, Rahul Gandhi, over his remark against the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Recently, the Congress president wrongly attributed his comment ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ to the April 10 judgement of the Supreme Court of India over the Rafale issue.

The top court has listed the contempt petition along with the review petitions for April 30.

The contempt petition was originally filed by a senior BJP leader. She accused the Congress president of misrepresenting the court proceedings by attributing his comment to the April 10 judgement of the top court of the country.

The Congress scion’s representative has tried his best to defend his client.

There is a strong feeling among a section of the society that a leader like Rahul Gandhi – who holds the top most position of the oldest political party of the country – could have abstained from making such irresponsible statements against the ruling party and the leader of the country.

A political observer says that the comment might badly affect the credibility of the top leader of the Congress Party.
