China’s Massive funding to Pakistan – Unique Times

Xi Jinping, China’s President has signed an agreement with Pakistan agreeing to provide$46bn. The aim of this agreement is to build a China-Pakistan Economic Corridor whichwill be a network of roads, railway and pipelines. This project will provide China a directaccess to Indian Ocean. This corridor will be 3,000km long starting from Gwadar in Pakistan to China’s western Xinjiang region. This project will be a great sign of advancement in China’s plan to increase its contact in Central and South Asia. Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that there relation ships are based on the shared ideals and principles of mutual trust, benefit and respect. China and Pakistan need to align security concerns more closely to strengthen security cooperation.
