CHICKEN STEW

INGREDIENTS

  • Chicken – ½ kg
  • Big onion – 1
  • Green chillies – 6 nos
  • Ginger – 1
  • Cabbage leaves – 2
  • Coconut milk – 2 cups
  • Mustard – 1 tsp
  • Pepper powder – ½ tsp
  • Clove – 2 nos
  • Cinnamon – 1 nos
  • Cardamom – 1 nos
  • Oil – 2 tbs
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Salt to taste
  • Maida – 1 tsp
  • Small onion – 3 nos (sliced)

METHOD

  • In a pan heat oil and fry the mustard and sauté the small onions and curry leaves . when it comes golden brown keep it aside.
  • In the same oil sauté the big onions , green chillies and ginger . add the spices also .
  • When it becomes soft , add the chicken pieces salt and pepper .
  • Cover and cook well.
  • Add cabbage leaves.
  • Pour the coconut milk , mixed with maida into the chicken.
