BJP, PDP resume talks; JK’s collision hopes rising
Bringing an end to the prolonged uncertainty over the Jammu Kashmir’s government formation, PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti on last day visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, most probably, to deliberate on the issues regarding government formation. Giving a positive hope to Jammu and Kashmir’s residents, while speaking to media personals after the meeting, the PDP leader asserts that it was a productive meeting and will provide a positive result. The top PDP leader had reportedly convened meeting with prominent BJP leaders including state leaders and national core committee leader on last day. Later, she attended a personal meeting with Prime Minister. As per the latest information, People’s Democratic Party will organise a legislatures meeting on coming Thursday for formally selecting their assembly leader. Though it is a mere procedural function, it also gains some importance as Mehbooba is planning to convince her move to party’s senior leaders during that meeting. It seems that she may have to attend several marathon meetings to spike out the odds on her path to CM’s chair. On the wake of positive developments in JK’s BJP-PDP relations, the congress leaders raised fresh allegations on PDP and its leader. Congress alleges that PDP may have gained sumptuous offer from the BJP’s central government. Anyway, the new developments in the talks will bring hope to the Jammu Kashmir’s government dreams.
