Bihar likely to witness a political turmoil

With the BJP trying to derail the grand alliance has tactically shown its interest in getting into an alliance with the Bihar’s ruling party by eliminating the RJD which is currently having an alliance with the JD (U) government, it seems that the state is set to witness a political turmoil in near future. The route towards the political uncertainty has been paved by an SC order in which the court held that the corrupted RJD leader, Lalu Prasad Yadav, and other accused including the erstwhile Bihar CM, Jagannath Mishra, should be tried separately in the fodder scam cases. The latest court order has quashed the Jharkhand High Court order which acquitted Mr Lalu on the grounds that the court cannot convict a person, on the same charge, twice. According to the report, the dismissal of the Jharkhand HC order has been justified by the SC on the ground that even though a single conspiracy from 1988 to 1996 led to a series of crime related to the fodder deals, there should be different cases for different crimes as different persons involved in all those different crimes.   Immediately after the controversial verdict, a BJP top leader said that his party would consider forming a collision with the JD (U) if the Bihar CM decides to sever the alliance. The RJD has dismissed the speculations regarding the breakup of the RJD and JD (U) as a daydream. The fodder scam is a 900 crore corruption scandal that was brought into the limelight in the year 1996. It is said that several political executives and permanent executives have involvement in the scam.
