BEEF ROAST WITH TENDER COCONUT

INGREDIENTS:

Beef – 1 Kg (cubes)
Ginger – 1 ½ teaspoon (crushed)
Garlic – 10 (crushed)
Turmeric Powder – ½ teaspoon
Chilli Powder – 2 teaspoon
Coriander Powder – 1 ½ teaspoon
Curry Leaves – 2 sprigs
Pepper powder – 1 teaspoon
Salt – to taste
Garam Masala powder – ¾ teaspoon
Shallots – 10 (crushed)
Onion – 3 (sliced)
Oil – 3 tablespoon
Coconut slices
Coriander Leaves – 1 teaspoon (chopped)
Green Chillies – 3 (sliced)
Tomato – 1 (sliced)

PREPARATION:

Take a pressure cooker and add beef pieces, ½ teaspoon of ginger, Garlic ½ teaspoon, ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder and required amount of salt. And cook the beef in medium flame.
Then take a pan and add oil. After heat it, add sliced coconut. When the coconut slices color changes, remove from the pan.
Add sliced onion and curry leaves into the same oil. Sauté it well. Until it changes brown in colour. Add crushed garlic, shallots and ginger into the pan. Sauté it well for few minutes, then add sliced tomatoes into the pan. Fry it until the raw smell is gone.
Now add the chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and required amount of salt. Stir for a few seconds.
Add cooked beef and fried coconut slices into it. Sprinkle pepper powder on it. Saute well.
Cover the pan and cook it until the gravy thickens and beef is browned and mixture is dry. Remove from the heat and sliced coriander leaves on it.
Tasty beef roast with tender coconut is ready.
Serve it with rice or appam.
