AIADMK to organise crucial meeting Today

The top leaders of the AIADMK, including Edappadi K Palaniswami, who is the Chief Minister of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu and the Co-Coordinator of the party, and O Panneerselvam, the Deputy Chief Minister of the state and the Coordinator of the party, are expected to participate in the crucial meeting of the party, which is scheduled to take place Today in the party headquarters situated in Chennai.

Apart from the leaders, all party legislators, district secretaries, and parliamentarians is expected to attend the meeting, in which the leaders are likely to evaluate the latest election result.

In the recent parliament election, the party could not perform as better as they did in the last time. As a result of that, its strength in the lower house came down considerably. Not only that, but also its prime rival, DMK, made significant gains.

In the proposed meeting, the leaders are likely to ask the party to replace its present dual-leadership system with a strong single leadership system, like the one the party had during the peak period of its growth.

Interestingly, hours before the commencement of the meeting, former MLA actress Radha Ravi has rejoined the party.

It is the first time the party leaders meet since the general election.
